The Croatian Nursing Association in Neurology (CNAN)
was established in 1997 and since that time has been actively working on the quality improvement of the nursing continuous education and lifelong learning in the field of neurology in Croatia and abroad. The association plans and organizes the educational programs as part of continuing professional development and training of nurses and technicians who provide direct care in neurology. Being a member of the European Association of Neuroscience Nurses (EANN) and the World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN), the Croatian Nursing Association in Neurology contributes to the neurology nursing knowledge and skills exchange, further defining the educational needs of the nurse work in the field of neuroscience. www.umsthn.hr
World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN)
Founded in 1969, the World Federation of Neuroscience Nurses (WFNN) is an international nursing organization devoted to the promotion and development of the neuroscience worldwide. This organization brings together more than 8,000 nurses and technicians from six continents, with the aim of educating, networking and informing on the provision of the neurological health care. The mission of the WFNN is to encourage and facilitate interaction amongst neuroscience nurses worldwide and to aid, exchange and disseminate nursing knowledge, with the dedication to improve and foster the highest nursing standards, to encourage nursing research and to develop the expertise across all levels of neuroscience nursing. www.wfnn.org
